Boaz Kantor, AT&T’s Cyber Security Innovation Coach, started a lecture of which the topic was ‘The secret key to success in Israel Startup’, saying “Establishing Israel itself was like starting a start-up.” at YONSEI MEDICI FESTIVAL. 

He also said, “If you see a wall, don’t waste time to find a door, but break the wall.” Like he mentioned, Israelis have always learnt and trained how to respond flexibly when it runs into problems, and solve it creatively. We can find their driving force of raising Israel to ‘Global Startup Country’ in their creativity and innovative thinking.     

“벽이 있다면 문을 찾지 말고 벽을 부숴라.” 

미국 최대 통신회사 AT&T의 사이버 안전 혁신(Cyber Security innovation) 코치로 활동하는Boaz Kantor는 11월 24일 강원도 원주에서 개최된 ‘YONSEI MEDICI FESTIVAL’에서 이같이 말했다. 

문제해결에 집중하고, 혁신적인 방법을 제시하기로 유명한 Boaz Kantor는 이날 ‘이스라엘의 창업 비결’ 이라는 주제로 강연했다. “이스라엘은 건국부터가 창업이었다” 는 그의 말에서 느낄 수 있듯, 이스라엘인들은 문제에 봉착했을 때 그에 유연하게 대처하고, 창의적으로 해결하는 법을 아주 오래 전부터 자연스럽게 교육받고, 스스로 키워왔다. 문제를 해결하는 과정에서 나오는 창의성과 그들의 혁신적인 사고력에서 이스라엘을 글로벌 창업국가로 키운 원동력을 찾을 수 있을 것이다.  

  Yosi Taguri, one of KSP mentors, had a lecture at Spark@Pangyo 24th Nov in front of entrepreneurs and employees of the center. The topic of the lecture was ‘Secret of Israeli startup ecosystem for global success – The mistakes entrepreneurs should not take.’
Yosi Taguri told many interesting experiences he has had, such as failures on ‘Exit’ and his dismissal story and so on. He said, “Even you just signed on an M&A contract, don’t think you did ‘Exit’ yet. It can be canceled so easily.”, and “Your business will be growing up. But you should not hire many people yet. Hiring employees should be followed after SALES, not IDEAS.” He’s experienced priceless things that can’t be bought with money, therefore, it could be also an invaluable lesson to entrepreneurs.

  통화내용 저장 및 단어 검색 기능을 제공하는 스마트 전화 앱 Yallo inc 의 창업자이자 CTO인 요시 타구리(Yosi Taguri)는 11월 24일 경기경제창조혁신센터에서 있었던 ‘Spark@Pangyo’에서 “스타트업 창업자가 저지르기 쉬운 실수” 라는 주제로 강연했다. Yosi Taguri는 강연에서 창업한 회사의Exit 실패 경험, 믿었던 회사에서 해임된 경험 등을 예로 들며 실패를 경험해본 선배의 시각에서 할 수 있는 조언들을 아끼지 않았다. ‘M&A계약 사인을 한 후에도 Exit에 성공했다고 확신하지 말 것’, ‘팀원은 가능한 소규모로 유지할 것’ 등의 당연할 것 같지만 간과하기 쉬운 창업자의 실수들을 다시 한 번 마음 속에 되새길 수 있는 강연이었다.

For startups, ‘Market first place’ is much more important than ‘Start-up contest first prize’.
If companies concentrate on the business itself, ‘Market first place’ and ‘Contest first prize’ would come along one by one.
